Emily Blunt's Crochet Peplum Blouse Is the Coziest Winter Statement Top

We can always count on Emily Blunt to be the most chic star at any party.

The Devil Wears Prada actor was exactly that person while attending a special screening of her film Oppenheimer in Los Angeles on Sunday. Blunt looked so sophisticated in a black lace skirt suit from Dolce & Gabbana, consisting of a lace-stitched crochet peplum top and a matching tea-length skirt. The blouse features scalloped detailing on the neckline, collar, sleeves, and peplum. The skirt, meanwhile, is fitted at the top and flows into a frilly, scalloped design at the hem.

Blunt wore the elegant, see-through set over a black bra and a black miniskirt. She paired it simply with strappy black platform heels and some gold rings. As for glam, the actor wore glowy makeup, including a glossy pink lip, and had her hair up in a neat ballerina bun.

Peplum has been having quite a comeback this year, with top brands—from Alexander McQueen to Alaïa, Richard Quinn, Harris Reed, and Dior—having embraced the waist-centric silhouette in their recent collections.

Celebrities, too, have been repping the style. Last month, Hunter Schafer appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in a pink, yellow, green, and blue floral peplum top and matching capri shorts.

And in the summer, Sydney Sweeney put a bombshell spin on the peplum trend while attending the Variety Power of Young Hollywood event in Los Angeles. The Euphoria star wore a skintight black leather Alexander McQueen co-ord consisting of a sculpted, corseted top with a peplum detail, plus a long biker skirt with a high leg slit.
